David Morgan says gold has technically broken out, but he is not yet convinced the move is fully confirmed. Silver has not broken through resistance, trading volume remains relatively light, and he believes another sharp pullback or period of consolidation is still possible before the next major advance.
Despite that caution, Morgan remains bullish on the longer-term outlook. He sees gold potentially reaching the high $4,000s to around $5,000 by year-end, with silver near $78, although he is more conservative than analysts calling for $100 silver. For long-term investors, his message is not to panic over short-term volatility and to consider averaging into positions rather than trying to perfectly time the market.
Morgan is particularly constructive on mining stocks, arguing that many miners remain undervalued relative to their strong cash flow and profit margins. He also believes capital is gradually rotating away from paper assets and toward commodities and other real assets as concerns grow over debt, currency debasement, inflation, and the stability of the global financial system.
